FOUR students from Pershore High School have been celebrating this week after receiving offers from Oxford or Cambridge.
In October Jack Capel-Shyu, aged 17, from Pershore, will be heading to Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he will read engineering. Joshua Carr, also aged 17, from Pershore, was offered a place at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, to read natural sciences. Lucy Hanson, aged 18, from Birlingham, will be aiming to achieve the terms of her offer from Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge to read law and Harry Mallinson, aged 18, from Upton Snodsbury, has received an offer to read physics and philosophy at Oriel College, Oxford. The students are among many others to have already received offers from universities.
Headteacher Clive Corbett said: “As delighted as I am at the successes of these students, I also recognise the tremendous achievements of our sixth formers.
It is a tribute to their endeavours and the fabulous support of the sixth form team and their teachers.”
